Dial-Peer Group (DPG)

A CUBE feature that lets an inbound dial peer explicitly select a list of outbound dial peers, bypassing destination-pattern matching.

Definition

A voice class dpg lists outbound dial peers with preferences, and the inbound dial peer references it with destination dpg. This makes routing deterministic, for example sending all calls from CUCM to the ITSP dial peers and all calls from the ITSP to CUCM dial peers. It is widely used in Webex Calling Local Gateway configurations.

Example

dial-peer voice 100 voip / destination dpg 200 sends all calls matched by dial peer 100 to the dial peers in dpg 200.

Exam tip

DPG routing is chosen by inbound dial peer, not by called number patterns.
