Find your exam

Four questions free, before you decide.

Step 1 · choose a vendor

In one of our camps? Your practice exams come with the tuition — they are on your study page already.

Home › thinQmaster

Virtual testing partner

Anyone can sell you the answer.
We sell you the reason.

A study application, one exam at a time. Every question is written by the certified engineers who teach our camps and carries a full explanation — why the correct answer is correct, and why every wrong answer is wrong. Then the engine watches which ones you miss and rebuilds your next session around them.

Sample · Security+ Domain 3 · Implementation Written for thinQmaster

A vendor must let a partner confirm that a firmware image genuinely came from the vendor and has not been altered in transit. The partner and the vendor share no secret and cannot establish one. Which control meets the requirement?

  • AAn HMAC-SHA256 value computed over the image
  • BA code-signing certificate, with the image signed by the vendor’s private key
  • CEncrypting the image with the partner’s public key
  • DAn MD5 checksum published beside the download link

Most question banks give you

answer key · no reasoning

B

Correct today. Useless the moment the wording changes, the options are reordered, or the exam asks the same idea about a software update instead of a firmware image.

thinQmaster gives you

answer · and why the other three fail

  • BCorrect. A signature made with a private key is verifiable by anyone holding the public certificate. No shared secret is needed — which is exactly what the question rules out.
  • AHMAC proves origin and integrity, but only to someone who already holds the same key. The stem removes that possibility on purpose.
  • CConfuses confidentiality with authenticity. Anyone can encrypt with a public key, so this proves nothing about who sent the file.
  • DA checksum catches accidental corruption, not tampering: an attacker who replaces the file replaces the checksum. MD5 is also collision-broken.

One question, four explanations. Then the engine records which of those four you reached for, and adjusts what it asks you next.

The engine

It works out what you are bad at, then makes you do more of it.

thinQmaster is an application, not a PDF. It scores every answer against the exam’s own domains, keeps a running picture of where you are strong and where you are not, and builds each new session out of that picture. The domains you have mastered stop taking up your time. The one you keep getting wrong takes up more of it.

Notice what it did

General Security Concepts is 12% of the real exam and you are getting one question in twenty. You have proved you know it. Your time is worth more elsewhere.

And where it went instead

Security Operations is the heaviest domain on the blueprint and your weakest, so it takes eight of the next twenty — more than double its blueprint share.

It keeps moving

Get Security Operations up and it recedes on its own. The mix is recalculated every session, so the work always sits on whatever is currently weakest.

When the explanation is not enough

There is a person on the other end of this.

The engine finds what you keep getting wrong. Sometimes reading why you got it wrong still does not land it — and that is the moment every other question bank leaves you alone with a search engine at eleven at night. Two things happen here instead.

Route one · your cohort

Post the question to the group

Push any question straight from the app into the discussion group for that exam, where other candidates working the same objectives — and our engineers — can see exactly what you were looking at when you got stuck.

Example thread · SY0-701

If the vendor and the partner already trust each other, why is HMAC not good enough here?

TS

thinQtank engineer

Trust is not the blocker — key distribution is. HMAC needs both sides holding the same secret, and the stem removes that. Signatures let anyone verify with a public certificate.

Route two · direct

Or email a certified engineer

Every thinQmaster purchase comes with a direct line to a certified engineer — someone who holds the certification you are studying for and works in the field, not a ticket queue and not a chatbot. Send the question, the objective, or the thing that has not clicked yet.

Why one exam at a time

You do not have a certification problem. You have an exam, on a date.

So we sell you that exam, and nothing else. No monthly fee for forty titles you will never open, and nothing to remember to cancel.

It matches how you buy

Nobody wants a study-guide subscription. They want the one exam they booked, and they want it now.

It stays current

Blueprints move constantly — ISACA rewrote the CRISC weightings in November 2025, Microsoft revised PL-300 in April 2026. We maintain the guides we sell rather than promising forty are all fresh.

It is expensable

A line item with an invoice. Tuition assistance, employer reimbursement and purchase orders handle that. Recurring billing they usually refuse.

How the questions are built

Every answer explained. All four of them.

Written, never scraped

Every item is authored by the certified engineers who teach the camp. Nothing is harvested from a live exam, which is what makes it safe to study from.

Every distractor answered

Why the right answer is right, and why each wrong one is wrong. A distractor is the psychometric term for a wrong option, and every one is wrong for a specific, teachable reason. You get all four, never just the letter.

Built to a stated outline

Each guide names the exam outline revision it was written against, on the cover. If the vendor withholds a figure, we say so rather than inventing one.

If it does not go your way

Fail, and the guide becomes credit toward the camp.

Every question bank on the internet advertises a money-back guarantee, and nobody believes them. Ours is worth more than the refund and it is easy to honor.

  1. Send us the score report

Dated after your purchase. That is the only thing we ask for.

  2. Your access is extended twelve months

Including every update we publish for that exam in the meantime.

  3. The full price becomes camp credit

Applied against any thinQtank instructor-led training camp, where the exam is delivered in the classroom.

One exam, one payment

Who needs another monthly subscription?

You sit this exam once. Everyone else wants to bill you every month until you do — and every month after that, if you forget to cancel.

A subscription charges you for time, not for passing. Take the careful route through a hard exam and it costs you more than the person who crammed it in three weeks — same certification, same result, higher bill. Study in bursts around a job and you pay for the months you did not open it. Pass, forget the renewal date, and you keep paying for an exam you already hold.

None of that is about how well the questions are written. It is a billing model borrowed from streaming, aimed at something nobody does monthly.

thinQmaster is one payment for one exam. Twelve months of access, every update we publish for that exam inside that window, and nothing to cancel at the end — it simply stops. Sit it in six weeks or nine months; the price is the price.

Do the math

A $39-a-month plan, six months $234
The same plan, left running a year $468
thinQmaster, CISSP, once $179

$39 is an example, not a competitor’s price. Take whatever plan you are looking at and multiply it by how long you honestly think this will take you. That number is what it costs.

Pricing

Four prices, not forty.

Purchase includes twelve months of access, every update we publish for that exam in that window, your exam’s discussion group, and the direct line to a certified engineer.

Why it costs less than it could

These questions already exist. We write them every week for the instructor-led camps we teach in Sterling, Atlanta and Burbank, and the engine was built for our own students before it was built for anyone else.

thinQmaster is not the business — it is the front door to it. So it is priced to be an easy yes rather than to carry a company, and you get the adaptive engine, the discussion group and a working engineer’s inbox at a price other people charge for a question bank and a PDF.

You will need a thinQtank account. It is the same one you use for classes, and it is what your history, your weak spots and everything the engine learns about you are attached to — so we ask for it before you pay, not after. Titles still being written are sold as reservations: you pay the founding price now, your twelve months start the day your title opens, and if we have not opened it within ninety days we refund you in full.

Before you buy

The questions people actually ask.

Do I need an account?
Yes, and we ask for it before you pay rather than after. Everything you are buying attaches to a person: your score history, the domains you are weak in, and what the engine has worked out about how you answer. It is the same thinQtank account you would use for a class, so if you have one already you are done.
I am booked on one of your camps. Do I need to buy this too?
No — do not buy it. If you are approved for a class, the practice exams for that certification are already yours and they appear on your study page on their own. There is nothing to purchase and no second sign-up.
What happens right after I pay?
If the title is open, it is on your study page immediately and your twelve months start that moment. If it is one we are still writing, you have reserved it at the founding price: we mail you the day it opens, your twelve months start then rather than now, and if we have not opened it within ninety days we refund you in full.
Who writes the questions?
The certified engineers who teach our camps, working from the vendor’s published exam objectives. Every question is written for thinQmaster, and every one carries the explanation of why the correct answer is correct and why each wrong answer is wrong. Run the engine on a few of them free before you decide — no account needed for that.
How many questions are there?
Enough to cover every domain at the weighting the vendor publishes for it, which is the number that matters — a bank of thousands weighted wrongly teaches you the wrong exam. The engine draws across the whole bank and pushes harder on the domains you are missing, so you will not see the same handful of questions over and over.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in a browser, there is nothing to install, and your progress follows the account rather than the device. Answer ten questions on your phone at lunch and pick up on a laptop that evening.
What if the exam changes while I am studying?
Updates inside your twelve months are included, and this is the main reason we sell one exam at a time rather than forty. Blueprints move constantly. When one we sell moves, we rework the questions it affects and tell you what changed.
What if I sit it and do not pass?
Send us the score report, dated after your purchase. Your access is extended twelve months, and the full price you paid becomes credit against any thinQtank training camp. That is the whole process — there is no form.
What happens at the end of the twelve months?
It stops. There is no renewal, no card kept on file and nothing to remember to cancel. If you want another year, you buy another year.
Can my employer pay, or do you invoice?
Yes to both. A one-time purchase with an invoice is something tuition assistance, employer reimbursement and purchase orders all handle, which recurring billing usually is not. Mail thinqmaster@thinqtanklearning.com and we will send what your finance team needs.

Something we have not answered? Mail thinqmaster@thinqtanklearning.com. A certified engineer reads it, not a form.
