Server Group

A CUBE voice class that lists multiple SIP destinations with preferences so one dial peer can target several servers.

Definition

voice class server-group defines IP addresses or hostnames with preference and hunt scheme (preference or round-robin), letting a single dial peer reach multiple CUCM subscribers or carrier SBCs. Combined with OPTIONS keepalives, unreachable members are skipped. It reduces the number of dial peers needed.

Example

voice class server-group 1 / ipv4 10.1.1.11 preference 1 / ipv4 10.1.1.12 preference 2 targets two CUCM nodes.

Exam tip

Server groups reduce dial peer count; pair them with options-keepalive for fast failover.
