Display Resolution

The number of pixels a display shows horizontally and vertically, such as 1920 x 1080.

Definition

Common resolutions include 1280x720 (HD), 1920x1080 (Full HD), 2560x1440 (QHD), and 3840x2160 (4K UHD). Running an LCD at a non-native resolution produces blurry output. Display scaling enlarges content on high-resolution screens.

Example

Set a 27-inch 4K monitor to its native 3840x2160 with 150% scaling.

Exam tip

Fuzzy text often means the display is not at native resolution.
