CUBE High Availability

Box-to-box or inbox redundancy for CUBE that preserves active calls when the active router fails.

Definition

Box-to-box redundancy pairs two CUBE routers in a redundancy group with a virtual IP and checkpoints signaling and media state so established calls survive failover. Inbox redundancy uses dual route processors on supported chassis. Both routers must have identical configurations and interface layouts.

Example

redundancy / application redundancy / group 1 / control GigabitEthernet0/0/2 protocol 1 configures box-to-box HA.

Exam tip

Box-to-box HA uses a virtual IP; peers keep the same IP in SIP messages.
