Room Combining

Automatically reconfiguring audio, video and control when divisible rooms are joined or separated by moveable walls.

Definition

Partition sensors or touch panel selections tell the DSP and control system to merge microphones, loudspeaker zones, echo cancellation references and video routing for combined use. Each configuration must be tested for coverage, gain before feedback and AEC performance.

Example

When the air wall opens, the DSP routes all ceiling microphones to one automixer and plays program audio in both rooms.

Exam tip

AEC references and automixer groups must change with room combinations.
