Call Park

A feature that holds a call on a park number so it can be retrieved from any phone by dialing that number.

Definition

With standard call park, CUCM assigns a park number from a range and displays it to the user; directed call park lets the user transfer the call to a specific park number, retrieved with a retrieval prefix. Calls not retrieved within a reversion timer return to the parking party or a configured destination. Park numbers are placed in partitions like other patterns.

Example

A receptionist parks a call on 7801 and pages the user, who dials 7801 to pick it up.

Exam tip

Directed call park needs a retrieval prefix; standard call park assigns the number automatically.
