Line Group

A CUCM collection of DNs that receive hunted calls using top down, circular, longest idle time or broadcast distribution.

Definition

Line groups define ring no answer reversion timeouts and what happens when members are busy, unavailable or do not answer, such as trying the next member or the next group. Top down always starts with the first member, circular rotates, longest idle time picks the member idle longest, and broadcast rings all members at once.

Example

LG-Helpdesk uses longest idle time so calls are spread evenly among agents.

Exam tip

Broadcast rings everyone simultaneously; it is different from top down or circular sequential hunting.
