U.S. Cyber Trust Mark

A voluntary U.S. FCC labeling program indicating that a consumer wireless IoT product meets baseline cybersecurity criteria.

Definition

Launched by the FCC in 2025 and based on NIST IoT criteria, the label (with a QR code) tells buyers the device was tested by accredited labs for features like secure updates and strong default authentication, and how long it will receive support.

Example

A smart camera box shows the Cyber Trust Mark shield and a QR code linking to its support period.

Exam tip

Voluntary U.S. label; contrast with the mandatory UK PSTI regime.
