Adj-RIB-In

The conceptual BGP table holding unprocessed routes received from a specific peer before inbound policy.

Definition

BGP uses three conceptual tables: Adj-RIB-In (per peer, pre-policy), Loc-RIB (best paths after policy) and Adj-RIB-Out (per peer, post outbound policy). Implementations may not store Adj-RIB-In fully unless configured to.

Example

show route receive-protocol bgp 10.1.1.2 on Junos shows received routes.

Exam tip

Junos keeps received routes (including hidden ones) by default; Cisco needs soft-reconfiguration.
