Build my study plan

  1. Weeks 1-2: OSPF and EIGRP troubleshooting labs with deliberately broken topologies.
  2. Weeks 3-4: BGP attributes, path selection, route maps and redistribution with tagging.
  3. Week 5: DMVPN phases 1-3 and IPsec profiles; PBR and VRF-lite.
  4. Week 6: Infrastructure security and services (AAA, CoPP, uRPF, DHCP, IP SLA, NetFlow).
  5. Week 7: Timed practice exams and fault-isolation drills.

Exam-day tips

  • Layer 3 is 35% of the exam; redistribution loops and route-map logic are frequent troubleshooting themes.
  • Practice reading debug and show output to spot the single misconfiguration.
  • Know DMVPN phase differences (spoke-to-spoke behavior, next-hop handling) precisely.
  • Remember administrative distance defaults for every protocol including external EIGRP and iBGP.
  • Budget time: 90 minutes with exhibit-heavy items.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the ENARSI exam cost?

US$300 per attempt, or Cisco Learning Credits.

Does ENARSI alone give me CCNP Enterprise?

No. CCNP Enterprise requires the core exam plus one concentration exam. Passing ENARSI by itself earns a Cisco Certified Specialist credential.

What is the passing score?

Cisco does not publish passing scores or question counts; the score needed varies by exam form and is reported as pass/fail with a section breakdown.

How hard is ENARSI?

It is a 90-minute professional-level exam that assumes CCNA-level knowledge plus hands-on experience with multi-protocol routing. Candidates without real lab time usually struggle.

ENARSI or another concentration?

ENARSI is best if routing is your daily work and builds directly toward the CCIE Enterprise lab; choose ENSDWI or ENSLD if SD-WAN or design is your focus.
