Secure Software Development Attestation Form

A CISA form in which software producers attest that they follow key secure development practices derived from NIST SSDF.

Definition

Required for software sold to U.S. federal agencies under OMB M-22-18/M-23-16, it covers secure build environments, supply chain controls, provenance and vulnerability disclosure. A CEO or designee signs it, and third-party assessments can substitute.

Example

A vendor's CEO signs the attestation before contract award.

Exam tip

It is a self-attestation tied to SSDF, not a certification.
