Content Filtering

Automatically detecting and blocking harmful categories of content in AI inputs and outputs.

Definition

Filters classify content such as hate, violence, sexual content, self-harm and prompt attacks with configurable severity thresholds. They are built into Bedrock Guardrails, Azure AI Content Safety, Vertex AI safety settings and NeMo Guardrails.

Exam tip

Content filters use severity thresholds; stricter thresholds block more but increase false positives.
