Build my study plan

  1. Week 1: Read the exam guide; set up an Omnistudio-enabled org and complete the Omnistudio Developer Trailhead trail.
  2. Week 2: Omniscripts (20%): build multi-step scripts with conditional views, set values, remote actions and an embedded custom LWC.
  3. Week 3: Integration Procedures and Data Mappers (32%): chain Integration Procedures, use HTTP actions and caching, build extract/transform/load and turbo extract mappings.
  4. Week 4: Flexcards and fundamentals: data sources, states, actions, child cards and formula functions.
  5. Week 5: Troubleshooting (15%): practice reading JSON in Preview and the Action Debugger, then sit timed practice tests and target weak areas.

Exam-day tips

  • Expect JSON snippets: be able to trace how a node path maps through a Data Mapper or Integration Procedure response.
  • Know Integration Procedure options such as chainable, queueable and cache settings, and when each applies.
  • Troubleshooting questions usually expect you to use Omniscript/IP Preview and the debug JSON, not Apex debug logs.
  • With 72% to pass, you can miss at most 16 of 60 questions, so do not skip Flexcards just because the weight is lower.
  • Know the difference between a Turbo Extract and a standard Extract Data Mapper (single object, no formulas).

How much does the Omnistudio Developer exam cost?

Is the Omnistudio Developer exam hard?

Yes, relative to other Salesforce developer exams: the pass mark is 72% and many questions require reading JSON and debugging output.
