Course overview
thinQtank® Learning is offering a unique instructor-led training camp that gives students the knowledge and skills needed to design connectivity, security, operations and performance across on-premises and multiple cloud providers at once — and to justify the trade-offs to the people who will live with them. Students work design problems rather than configuration tasks: connectivity models, segmentation and routing at scale, zero-trust placement, resilience and blast radius, observability, and troubleshooting across a boundary where no single team owns the whole path.
This course also helps students prepare to take the CompTIA CloudNetX (CNX-001) exam — CompTIA’s Xpert Series credential for the network architect. It is not an implementation exam, and it is scored pass/fail with no scaled score.

What you'll be able to do

- Design for resilience: availability zones, failover, redundancy and controlling blast radius
- Handle identity, access and trust across cloud boundaries
- Meet compliance and data-residency requirements in the architecture itself
- Plan observability: telemetry, logging, monitoring and the metrics that actually matter on day two
- Design for performance and cost together, and know exactly where the two conflict
- Troubleshoot across provider and organisational boundaries, gathering evidence when you do not own the path

- Service members, veterans and military spouses using AF COOL, Army Credentialing Assistance, MyCAA or VET TEC 2.0
Prerequisites
- Foundational knowledge equivalent to CompTIA Network+, Security+ and Cloud+
- Hands-on experience designing and operating hybrid cloud networks
- This is an Xpert Series exam. CompTIA recommends around ten years in IT including five in a network architect role — this camp assumes that background rather than building it, and it is not the right starting point for someone new to network design
