Frequently asked questions

If the answer you need is not here, call 855-868-4467 and ask.

What certifications does thinQtank Learning train for?
Cisco, CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA, EC-Council, Microsoft, AWS, PMI, GIAC and Juniper. That covers CCNA and the CCNP tracks, A+ through SecurityX, CISSP and CCSP, CISA and CISM, CEH, the Azure certifications and the project management tracks. The course catalog lists every class currently scheduled, with its dates and location.
Can I attend online?
Yes. Every class in the catalog can be attended live online. That means an instructor teaching in real time and answering questions as you go, not a recording you work through alone. You can also attend in person at any of the three classrooms.
Where are your classrooms?
Three locations: Sterling, Virginia at 21481 Ridgetop Cir; Atlanta, Georgia at 431 Marietta St NW; and Burbank, California at 3301 N San Fernando Blvd. Which location a class runs in is shown on the class itself in the catalog.
How long does a course take?
It depends on the course. Classes run as training camps built around the exam objectives rather than to a fixed number of days, so a course covers what it needs to cover. Every scheduled class in the catalog shows its exact start and end dates before you book.
What is included when I book a class?
The instruction itself, the courseware, the lab work that goes with the course, and practice exams. Students in a class get the practice exam engine as part of their tuition -- there is nothing extra to buy for it.
Do you accept military and veteran funding?
Yes. Army Credentialing Assistance, Air Force COOL, MyCAA for military spouses, and VET TEC 2.0 for veterans. Each of those programs sets its own eligibility rules, and there is a page on this site explaining what each one covers and how to apply.
What if I am paying for it myself?
thinQflex is the payment program for students paying their own way, rather than paying the whole tuition up front.
What is your pass rate?
Ninety-eight per cent of our students pass on their first attempt.
Can I practice for the exam before I sit it?
Yes. thinQmaster is our practice exam engine: real exam-style questions with adaptive follow-up on whatever you are getting wrong, and a readout of how you are doing by domain. It is bought once for the exam you are taking rather than as a monthly subscription, and it is already included if you are booked on a class.
How do I book a class?
Find the class in the course catalog and use the request form on it, or call 855-868-4467. If you are using a funding program, say so when you get in touch -- the paperwork differs by programme and it is easier to start it at the beginning.
