Introducing Job Match: Your Clearance, Your Skills, Matched to Defense IT Jobs Every Week

Finding a cleared IT job shouldn't mean scrolling ten job boards and guessing which postings you actually qualify for. Today we're launching Job Match, a free career tool for every thinQtank member that does the searching, the sorting and the coaching for you.

What Job Match does

You tell us four things, which takes about three minutes:

• Your clearance: None, Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI, plus its status and any polygraph.
• Your skills: a quick 0–5 self-rating across ten areas, from networking, cloud and systems administration to SOC operations, penetration testing, GRC/RMF, identity and access, scripting, incident response and help desk.
• Your certifications: Security+, CySA+, CCNA, CISSP and the other certs defense employers ask for under DoD 8140.
• Where you want to work: remote, hybrid or on-site, and whether you'd relocate.

Every week, Job Match collects new IT and cybersecurity openings straight from the career sites of major defense and government contractors, including Northrop Grumman, RTX (Raytheon), GDIT, Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, KBR and Parsons. Federal USAJOBS listings are being added next. Then it ranks the jobs you could get, best match first.

More than a job list: a plan for every posting

Each match comes with a score out of 100 and two short lists:

• Why you match: your clearance meets the requirement, you already hold a cert the posting names, the job is remote or near you.
• To improve your chances: specific, practical steps for that exact job. The cert the posting names that you don't have yet, and the course that gets you there. The skill area where you rated yourself low, with a hands-on way to close the gap this week. What to expect from a polygraph, and how to start preparing your SF-86 when the employer will sponsor your clearance.

Don't have a clearance yet? You're not locked out. Job Match flags the roles where the employer will sponsor your clearance after hire, so you know exactly where to apply today.

Built for how cleared hiring actually works

• Clearance-aware: jobs you can't take are filtered out, so your list is only roles you could realistically land.
• DoD 8140-aware: postings that require a baseline certification are flagged, with the course that satisfies it.
• Filters that matter: Strong matches, Remote, No clearance needed to apply, and New this week.
• Private by design: your clearance information is never shown on your public profile or to other members.

This is not every open position in the industry: many cleared jobs are posted only on subscription boards or shared directly by recruiters.
