thinQtank® Learning is offering a unique instructor-led training camp that gives students the knowledge and skills needed to DESIGN Azure infrastructure solutions rather than operate them — identity, governance and monitoring; data storage across relational, semi-structured and unstructured; business continuity and high availability; and the infrastructure itself, from compute and application architecture to networking and migration. Taught through case studies, because that is how the exam asks it and how the job works.
This course also helps students prepare to take the Microsoft AZ-305 exam, which awards the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect EXPERT certification. AZ-104 IS NOT REQUIRED — Microsoft made AZ-305 a single-exam path to Expert. The recommended experience, however, is real, and it is listed below.

- Skills measured, weighted as RANGES rather than fixed percentages, which is how Microsoft publishes them: Design infrastructure solutions 30-35%, Design identity governance and monitoring solutions 25-30%, Design data storage solutions 20-25%, Design business continuity solutions 15-20%
- Skills measured were last revised on 17 April 2026, and this course is built on that revision
- Microsoft publishes neither a question count nor an exam duration for AZ-305, so we do not quote either
- AZ-104 IS NOT A PREREQUISITE. AZ-305 is a single-exam path to Expert
- TWELVE MONTHS, THEN A FREE RENEWAL. Microsoft role-based certifications expire after a year and are renewed at no cost by passing an online assessment on Microsoft Learn. This applies to Expert-level certifications too
- AZ-305 Voucher — an exam voucher is available through thinQtank for $165 USD. Ask when you register and we will add it to your enrollment

Prerequisites
- AZ-104 IS NOT REQUIRED. Microsoft made AZ-305 a single-exam path to Expert — there is no administrator certification to earn first
- But the experience is real. You should have deployed or administered Azure resources before, not only read about them
- Conceptual command of Azure compute — virtual machines, containers and serverless solutions
- Azure virtual networking including load balancers, and Azure storage for both databases and unstructured data
- General application design: messaging, high availability, and why systems fail
