thinQtank Learning is Online! Now What?

As you are reading this, you have made it to our new online University. I personally want to thank you for taking the time to visit and encourage you to become a member. When I sat down with my development team 12 months ago and said I wanted to develop an online presence, the first thing that came to mind was a web site. But I made it clear to the team that I did not want the site to simply be like every other training website out there pushing course registrations and promotions. I told my team that I wanted to develop a community where future and former students can meet and collaborate.

As we outlined the areas we wanted to focus on, we came up with a list of what we feel are valuable and useful resources that no one else is offering. What did we come up with? A theater to house fun, educational and informative video content, a library to house documentation and publications, a learning lab section providing unprecedented access to online and downloadable lab content as well as ideas on how to build your own home labs, collaboration spaces where students will be able to create their own study groups, a comprehensive knowledge base and a forum for configuration assistance personal and professional projects. Additionally, we are developing a recreation center that will include lots of simple fun games to learn concepts.

As you can see the vision is bold. Of course, developing this quality content takes time. Our initial goal was to have much of the content produced and published by our launch date, but quickly realized that this was going to be a never-ending process. We will be updating the content on a daily basis, so we encourage you to visit the site often. You may also “like? us on Facebook to get up to date notices as new content is published.
